"It has been a pleasure to partner with Medacist. It is refreshing to deal with people who still believe that customer service is an important part of doing business. Their programs have made diversion detection and monitoring much more streamlined. We now have the ability to hone in on individuals that may be a diversion risk and with the help of reports obtained through Medacist we can complete our investigations in a timely fashion. Without Medacist, we would spend hours trying to gather this data. This frees up my time and staff time to attend to the most pressing issue for all of us, patient care. Medacist is always willing to provide whatever is needed to manage our automated dispensing machines.......money well spent."

“Our use of RxAuditor has greatly increased administration’s awareness of diversion issues and tracking and made the staff more alert to their actions as well. It is critical technology for diversion detection in a small hospital with limited resources where it might take longer to notice patterns in unassigned unit removal or waste and witness transaction patterns.”

“At Rio Grande Regional Hospital, we used to rely on custom reports by our automation cabinet vendor to help us look for potential diversion of controlled drugs. These reports were not user friendly and did not give us the information that we needed to detect a controlled drug diversion. We explored various software vendors and looked at the reports available from each vendor. In comparison to other vendors, the reports available from RxAuditor were phenomenal! We are now able to see which employee may be diverting controlled drugs in a snapshot report – the “RX Diversion Index Report”. The “Hot User Archive Index” allows us to zero in on a particular user and see their transactions via a link to an Excel spreadsheet that can be sorted easily. We compare the removals with documentation in Meditech/E-MAR and can determine if a diversion is occurring. Tasks that used to take many hours to complete can now be done much faster and more efficiently. We are also able to plan for staffing based on a review of dispensing activity reports which show us how many transactions are occurring at each hour of the day and by station. We also like the override and discrepancy tracking features to identify opportunities for improvement. Overall, we are very pleased with this outstanding product and highly recommend it for tracking potential diversion of controlled drugs and to improve pharmacy operations.”

"With the initial RxAuditor Reports generated during the 90 day assessment, Baystate Medical Center was successful in immediately detecting 3 diversion events. There is absolutely no reason why a hospital utilizing automated dispensing cabinets should not participate in the no cost, no risk, and no obligation 90 day assessment of RxAuditor."

“With RxAuditor 360, we have successfully reconciled over 90% of transactions from our automated dispensing cabinets in comparison to our charted electronic medication administration records. Having the ability to automatically scan and reconcile thousands of transactions from disparate systems is very powerful providing the healthcare professional useful information associated with bad clinical practice and/or diversion related activity. This latest addition to the RxAuditor suite of reporting services makes it an essential component to maintaining regulatory compliance.”
